So less then 48 hours before we were supposed to leave for the Ring...  I got broad sided trying to pull into my driveway...  it is truly a sad day...  everyone is ok except for Red who i just put on a flat bed to go to the Collision center...  more to follow.

ACK!

Glad to hear that no one was injured...hopefully Red will be repaired good-as-new as quickly as possible.

Did the other driver receive a ticket?

BigRed--

I hope you were not hit by an Italian because most of them do NOT have insurance!  Hopefully for you, it was another American because you know they have insurance!  Good luck on the repair.  If you have to take it somewhere, please e-mail me or my husband and we can refer you to an outstanding Italian shop in Pordenone that does a fantastic job!  Also, you might want to see Carlos at Pentagon.

Here's our e-mail addresses:

Cheryl, thanks a lot but Pordenone is about 800 km north of Naples and i cant imagine the towing costs... but we actually sent our car to a USAA authorized body shop that is acutally on a NATO base about 30 km from here...  they have already stared working on the car and my buddy with an M3 just told me that worked on his car and did excellent work.  so... i think we are in the good

Tim, having taken a look at your picture, I noticed that Elvis and Red have something in common, besides the obvious.(There both Minis). They, for the moment, have matching dents!

Good luck with the repair process, also glad to hear of no injuries.

Hi!
I didn't realize that you were in Naples!  I'm glad that your MINI is getting fixed at a good shop!

well red is at the "shop" its the only authorized shop in the area for USAA customers and i signed the authorization today for repairs to begin...  the damage was estimated to be 9000 Euro which equates to about 12000$

That sounds pretty high from what I saw in your photo. What all is going to be done, and is this an American run shop?
