As hot as Minis are right now I would say eBay is your best bet to reach the widest market. Make sure that you mention in your ad that it is also advertised locally and you reserve the right to pull the auction early if you get an acceptable offer here. Also demand a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit from the winning bidder. Set your reserve at a price that you will be happy with and, with any luck, a bidding war will drive the price up higher than that. That will help offset the eBay fees.

Do you know anyone with property in a high traffic area that might let you park the car with some of the above mentioned items on there lot? We offer it to friends and family at the shop. Sometimes it works pretty darn fast.  |

Thanks to everyone for the advice...... I have an offer from CARMAX and unless someone came beat it by Saturday.... I will more than likely sell it to them..... at a loss. I would really rather have a MINI Person buy and take advantage of a great price.... so if you know of anyone... please tell them to move quickly... as by Saturday Oct 11th...... I will have sold this rocket elswhere.  |

Try RacingJunk.com. Don't let the name intimidate you. They sell everything from used cars to fully-loaded top-fuel hot rods on there. Since Minis are sports cars, you may have some luck there. I've sold a Camaro and a car engine on there in the past, and it went pretty well. Premium ads work best. I spent $20 on each one of mine; it paid off.

I have only heard of low ball offers from CARMAX, but if time is critical they do pay something. Good luck and sorry to the the MINI go.

Thanks TJ, I'm sorry to see it go as well, but change is good. I'm hopeful the future will bring a classic mini my way, and in no way am I plannning on leaving HRMINI or being a MINI enthusiast. Good things will come. |

I hear ya Roy, I think that is the issue in general. I've lowered the price a couple of times but it still hasn't generated any interest. Looks like CARMAX is gonna get a great deal, too bad they won't pass that on to the next buyer!! |
