Well I am about to pose a question or two about related to a non-Mini car.  I have a co-worker with an older BMW who is looking for a place in the Hampton Roads area that does a very good paint job.  I know many of you have tried various body shops in the area and hopefully someone can give me a few pointers to pass on.  He is looking to possible do the complete car including door jams and everything.  Also he is looking for a good upholstery shop that works with leather. 

Any help you all can provide would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks everyone.

Stan's Collision Center in Newport News did excellent work on my son's Fit. 

Maaco in Hampton also seems to get great reviews.

Both businesses are represented on this board as well - support other Mini/MINI enthusiasts.

Kurt, heads up. Getting door jambs, under the hood, and in the trunk is gonna cost big $$$. In some cases, as much as the exterior. On a Beemer, most shops have a tendency to figure high, just because it's a Beemer.

We actually stopped doing door jambs about 7 years ago. With prices approaching 95 bucks per opening, it basically got cost prohibitive. Especially with the underhood areas of vehicles today.

WE can do most anything from a plain old acrylic enamel, to a base coat/clear coat. If you're looking for something for an older car, I'd surely stay away from a base/clear. Like John said, PM me and we can price things out for ya!

You could also try Auto Elite in Virginia Beach...Brian the owner also has a mini and was up at GWR.  His number is 425-8011
