Well, after much hand wringing and inter spousal negotiations we signed an order for a new Clubman today. Of course with HR MINI's favorite Motoring Advisor Nathan. Plopped down a down payment and signed the "X"marked lines today. We thought long and hard about another MCS, but we need just a bit more room. The Clubman fit that nicely.
So here's what's coming:
PAINT
MINI Clubman S
Laser Blue with Black roof, mirrors and C pillar trim
White turn signals (I love Nathans)
PACKAGES
Convenience
Performance (Autocross?)
Cold Weather (heated seats really help my back)
PERFORMANCE
Sport Suspension
DSC
Limited Slip Diff
Rear spoiler
6 Speed
16 Bridge spokes (Aftermarket wheels in the future)
Front fogs
Rear fog lamp
Xenon headlamps with power wash
COCKPIT
Sport Seats
Checkered carbon black cloth
Silver checkered interior surface (future plans for this)
6 Speaker AM/FM CD player (talk radio ain't gotta be loud!)
We weren't going for anything in particular, just a nicely optioned Clubman that was fun and did decently in the twisties and maybe the occasional autocross. Oh, and affordability was a must, but some of that came at the expense of badly wanted options. Now, the waiting begins.

I think water kills them. If ya feed them after midnight they turn into the wicked guys. So I can't fuel up after midnight then.
Steve, YES, C pillars will be colored quickly! Bumper top too.
