If you have a classic Mini sitting around plus you need some where to sleep. Your problems are solved.

I would imagine that sometime down the road, once all is settled in. The room below will show some signs of a cracking cieling. Let's face it, the classic is very light. Even more so when stripped down like this one. However, I don't think it's so light that the floor joists won't start to give after time.

Any carpenters out there with some knowledge in this area may be able to shed more light on this. I just think it's a silly way to retire what looks like a decent shell, and what could possibly end up ruining the floors and cieling in a home.  102

John,

It all depends on what's under that room, when the house was built etc.  If there is a wall under the room where the classic is, it will be fine.  If there isn't a wall under there but it's a modern house then it should be fine.  I doubt that the shell weighs more than a queen size waterbed.  Older houses built to the codes of that time will likely have the problems that you mentioned.

I agree that it's a waste of a good shell though.

I've heard that it has since been restored back to driving condition.

I wonder if they kept the roof bubble?  Other than that it looks like a nice shell.
