Wonderful Pictures both of you.

Hello HR MINI members!

Thanks for allowing me to join in and post on your site.  I've had the chance to look at some of it and look forward to "surfing" more.

Congratulations on your Benefit Drive for Heather!!!  I was excited to hear of the participation from fellow Tar Heel MINI Motoring Club member MINIFIED (Susan)!!  My promised support of your event shakes out like this . . .

13 MINIs, one Corvette and one Truck . . . that's 15 participates at $5 = $75

I also promised my own registration . . . that's $20

So, that's a total of $95 . . . but wait (just like one of those TV commercials, right) but wait, if I paid my registration that means I should have driven in the drive which would have added one more MINI.  So, I calculate a total of $100 to the cause.  I'll get my check off to Angela!

There's more though . . .

The participates of your drive collected toys for "Isaiah Gifts"!!! I and my family are overwhelmed at your generousity!!  There was over 50 toys . . books, games, dolls, stuffed animals, little MINI Coopers . . . it was wonderful!  Thank you . . Thank you . .  THANKS YOU!!!  That means Isaiah's Gifts will add to the over 200 toys already delivered and the total will be over 250 toys going to Brenner Children's Hospital!  (I sent MINIFIED photos of the toys she was delivering as well as one photo of my daughter, her husband and children making the first delivery. I think she plans to get them on the HRMINI site.

My prayers and thoughts continue to be with Heather DiNonno.  I have experienced the "fight" and know that prayer changes things and can work miracles.

Thanks you all!  Chuck

I have posted an update to the drive thread -- looks like Chuck and I were busy on the site at the same time! -- and here are the photos that his post (and mine) referenced. There was one trip to the hospital with 200+ toys and on the THMMC Stone Mountain drive yesterday the donations from the HR MINI club members, as well as a few residual from the THMMC members totaled 50 more! The photos attached are of club members loading up Chuck and Nancy's MINI - "modeling" Heather's T-shirt (I use that word modeling loosely!) and a family photo of Chuck's daughter, also Heather, her husband, and her other beautiful children.

(looks like I have to do that in 2 posts)

Many many thanks and I look forward to driving with you again soon!

PopcornEmoticon Great photos of the drive.  You ended up at one of my favorite places in the world . . . Yorktown.  When we travel to NN and Hampton area, we always go to the Yorktown waterfront!   Thanks for sharing the photos!  Chuck

I have to agree. Chuck, glad we could help your cause and thanks for helping ours! Next time you're in town you better let us know. Like Wendy said, we don't need much of an excuse to eat. In fact, when you come up, where ever we decide to eat at, your dinner is on me!

And like Steve said, MINI people are the greatest!

Thanks soooo much for your support Chuck!  And it was a pleasure to return your generosity by supporting Isaiah's Gifts.

Definitely let us know when you're in town and we can all get together for an eat & greet.  Dale's got your dinner and we got your beer! 023

Good photos, gang.  We definitely need to keep in touch with the Tarheel group (more excuses to do road trips).   icon_cool

Hey Everybody,
It's two weeks out since my surgery, and I figured I should let you all know that I am still in the land of the living..  First of all, I need to thank Angela, and I apologize because I have vicodin brain,  I can't remeber who else, but all of that food that was brought over has been fabulous!  The kids are loving it, and it has made life so much easier on all of us.

Anyway, I saw Dr. Challa yesterday, who assures me that I am doing very well and will have stripper boobs in no time.  He actually said that.  He also used the word "perky".  If you should ever need surgery, and (I hope you don't) I highly recommend Dr. Challa.  No cancer was present in either my lymph node or my left breast, and the tumor in my right breast was fairly small.  So that's good news.  On the down side, these expanders hurt like a b*****d 24-7 and I don't recommend this surgery unless it's absolutely necessary, and generally I am not a whimp.  The plastic surgeon (NOT Dr.Challa) has assured me that the regular implants will not hurt like this.  If he is incorrect there will be an impending ass kicking down the line...  Further updates to follow, but generally things are good.  I go back to work 2/2.

Which brings us to this.  And you all knew it was coming... The HRMini Boobapallooza "What's Your Favorite Letter of the Alphabet? Poll"    038  We start filling up the love kittens next week, so talk amongst yourselves, and get back to me .  The standard disclaimer that Sean has nothing to do with this applies.

Heather - so glad to hear from you first hand.  You sound like you have everything under control and ready to kick a**.  You go girl!  So those rotten kids get to be kind to you next week.  Lucky them, poor you  110  When does the reconstruction begin?  Are you going to be spared chemo & radiation or are they still considering further torture for you.  Are you able to consider a night in Ghent tomorrow?  Hope to see you there.
