Hey guys, I was the one who posted the event on NAM's site. It wasn't Randy. C7M is supposed to be regrouping and joining us for the event and a partner to have some fun with the cars. I think that things have slowly settled and are hopefully straight enough to allow the club to function again.
I hope that anyone that can, would stop by and say hi. It has been a while since I have seen most of you. Have a great day!

For the record, I did not state that it was Randy who posted the announcement to NAM, just that it came across on the c7m section of NAM.
Question ... does anyone know what is being done to regroup c7m?

Nathan, are you ever going to update that signature?

I wanted to, but I don't have a good program to create what I want. I need photoshop or something to create a signature. Anyone have anything to help me out?

Nathan, you don't need to update that sig. I like seeing my car up there! Although those rims don't look just right.

I won't be able to attend. I'm a groomsman in a friend's wedding tomorrow. I hope you all have a good time.

I don't think that Tug will be out of the hospital before the event. Some bracket that he needs in on back-order in Germany. I'll probably still go in the loaner though.

Well the very slight and brief drizzle on the way over held off and we had a nice little turn-out at Checkered Flag MINI yesterday. I didn't actually count cars but I'd venture to say we had between 12 and 15. A couple of Clubby JCW's, a host of coupe's and four classics, all from from Mid-Atlantic Minis.
I didn't get to meet everyone, but I did have the opportunity to speak to MD_IN_UK, MPETUOS, Sandecker, 2FUN4ME, and most likely RoyalGreyMCS. Who else from this forum attended? Hopefully some of the shutterbugs in the crowd will post some pictures.
Thanks CF for making the arrangements and for allowing us to take over the front lot.

I'm one of "those" people that don't own a MINI!

Those Classics were really fantastic! There was a '76 with a shaved door handles, hood scoop, fender flairs.... it was very cool! I didn't have a chance to see Bertie but I heard she was a hot little number!
Harry from C7M was on hand and he said they have 4 events set up for this year, and a new website almost ready! Sounds like C7M has been busy this past winter.
The show room of Checkered Flag was full with owners, food and lots of MINI talk. I got to see 2Fun and met a few new owners.... George...who is considering the Dragon this year..... and "XXLMINI" not his screen name but his license plate. Seems the SUV behind him felt the need to use his New Pepperwhite/Black Clubman as a braking barrier....... I'll let him explain it. Hope to see him at the Dinner!
Overall it was a nice time and it was great to see everyone!

Well as some of you who attended and didn't find me and Bertie there maybe wondering (what the?). It was Valentines Day and I did promise my honey I'd stay till noon then get back to her and celebrate the day. Yeah, I can be the mushy one, but she has been there for 30 years now and deserves a bit more time then the cars.
So until we have a chance to meet again............

Hey John,
Thanks for thinking of me and sorry I couldn't be there but I am currently at Ft. Dix NJ for some training. I know I haven't been around much lately but I have been getting everything squared away before I leave in April. I've kept it quiet till now but I am headed to Iraq for 6 months. I will be posting something when I get back from here (NJ) in March for a get together before I leave.

Thanks everyone who attended. Not sure why that Sweet Chili Red JCW Hardtop didn't win anything but there's always next time. For anyone I was unable to speak with and say hello I apologize. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and I look forward to seeing folks hopefully on Feb. 28th for the dinner. Nathan DeBaise MINI Motoring Advisor Checkered Flag MINI nathan.debaise@checkeredflag.com
