I would like to bring back a very much missed tradition.....a monthly MINI evening out. 026

Here's the scoop:
I will post a poll for dates in the upcoming month a couple weeks in advance and the restaurant info.  I will keep it moderately priced and I will also try to make sure that there are coupons available in the Entertainment Guide so we can all save some money.  And the area will also change from month to month (VA Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, etc.).  The time will be somewhere in the range of 5:30 - 6:30 based on availability.

*If you have suggestions of a restaurant you'd like to try, pm me and we can go there in an upcoming month.

The restaurant for February will be:
Coyote Cafe & Cantina
972-A Laskin Road
Virginia Beach, VA 23451

Time: 6:00 pm

Their menu is here:

Discount available in Entertainment Guide: Buy One Entree, Get One Entree Free

Your responsibility:
Vote for a date & majority wins.  Post if you want to attend and how many in your party.  If your plans change, and you decide that you are not coming please let me know.   023

Attendees: 30
Neal, Angela, Andria
Steve & Elaine
Terry, Wendy & Allyson
Roy & Lelane
Forrest & daughter
Ramona
Steve & Colleen
Adam
Jeff
Don & Steph
Erica + 1
Laurie + 1
Greg & Rachel
Karen
David & Kathy
Sean & Heather

Here's a link to Restaurant.com 50% - 70% off certificates  Never tried it, but thought it might help in affordable decisions.  023

I just plugged in 23669 zipcode for curiosity sake thinking of a midpoint projection point.   icon_razz

Yes, this has to be brought back! Though I never attended before. I've had a blast every time I've had dinner with the group. Y'all are a blast! You name the date, if I'm here, I'll be there!

If you're a newbie I highly suggest you make one of the dinners, you'll feel like one of the family in no time!

One small note on Restaurant.com certificates....only one certificate per group....not per check, regardless if the group sits at different table.  Just so everyone knows.  icon_neutral

And no problem on breathing life back into the monthly dinners!  023  It's my pleasure. 080

Hey Laurie, I fixed your link....it wasn't working because the "h" was missing on the "http".  023

I voted for the 21st but can do that or the 28th. We will be at VIR on the 7th.

This is a great idea Angela.  As I said in the other thread, I've been stuck in a rut food-wise and I'm itching to try new stuff.  icon_mrgreen

I'm with Jeff. New food is always good.

I voted for the 21st. I'm thinking about heading down to Helen GA for the Helenblitz event. Pretty uncertain at the moment, but ya never know.

This sounds like a great way to try different restaurants for us.  We're in for the 21st.

Coyote Cafe is a good choice. Being only a few blocks from my office, we lunch there often. You guys will love it ... newly renovated interior providing a nice atmosphere, a great bar with built-in ice rail to keep the drinks chilled, interesting southwestern cuisine, and ample parking for plenty of tire kicking. If this takes place on the 21st, I'll have to miss it, seeing as I'll be in Kissimmee Florida with over a hunderd other Mini's and MINI's at Spring Thing 14. If the date gets moved however, I'll be there.

Please post final date on the calendar.  It is hard to keep up with all the posts.
