So .. been a long time since I posted regularly but looks like I will have more time now.

The dream teaching position is now past tense. Long story really, really short:

The district is looking at a $30 million budget short fall, I took the position without a contract, to save money all non-contract positions were eliminated, an assistant principal is now teaching my kids and I am back to day subbing except all non-essential leave (sick/emergency ONLY) has been eliminated so no sub jobs in the district.

Monday I go register with all the other districts for subbing (including the "trouble" districts & my old hell district.) I also start papering the town with letters and resumes.

Not to troll but if anyone knows of a decent job ... even if it is not in education ... please let me know.

Thanks!

In other news ... Scott will be home in about 5 months - YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He's doing AWESOME  in school, like we would expect anything different?

Peace,
Riqui

I'm sooo sorry to hear that, Riqui!  I don't have any connections in the education field so I can't help much.  But we wish you all the luck in the world in finding something.  I'm sure you've checked the private schools too, right?  What about out here in Suffolk?  It only takes about 45 mins. to get out here, all interstate.  It may be worth a try.  NSA is out here and Windsor Academy.  NSA has gotta have money to pay it's teachers, at close to $20,000 per child per school year!!!  107

That is awesome that Scott will be back in 5 months!  Is he gonna start autocrossing again?  Is he gonna be stationed here again or will you guys be PCS'ing?

How's Dutch and Fiona doing?  We really miss you guys!!!

I'm bringing back the monthly dinners, there is one on Feb. 28th, 6pm at Coyote Cafe & Cantina.  You should join us!!!  023
