I just wanted to say Hi to everyone and hopefully I will see some of you driving around out there once I arrive. I will be starting the drive on Sat from Las Vegas and hopefully be in Newport by Wed, depending on my stops along the way to visit friends and family.

I made it. almost got here without any issues, but. about 350 miles before i arrived I hit a massive pothole and it cracked my valve stem on my right front tire. I still have the run flats so i limped to the nearest gas station and tried to  put air in it but it wouldn't hold so I got a can of fix a flat and tried that luckily that worked and i was able to make the rest of the trip without incident. Now today i have to find a tire shop and see if they can replace the valve stem. wish me luck. If I am in town for the 21st I will try to make the dinner.

Welcome to the area, glad you made it OK. Sorry to hear about the pot hole but you'll find some nice sized ones driving I-64 around here, especially across the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel in Norfolk. At least they're doing some road work to fix them. We're over in Poquoson, a few miles from Newport News, so we may cross paths soon.

Coming from Nellis?

Again welcome.

Hey Thing,

Glad you made it with only a minor injury. Hope you are able to make it to the March dinner so we can all meet you and your MINI.
