Harry Gerwein of Seven Cities Mini (c7m) asked me to pass on this information (their site is still down):

Attention MINI owners it is March and time for the second annual Italian Job Scavenger Run.  This year's run will be longer and hopefully a greater challenge than last year's.  Come one and all for a fun run through the Virginia Countryside.  Like last year there will be prizes, good eats and fun, but more than that, the good times and camaraderie that only MINI enthusiasts can appreciate.

Starting time and location:  Sunday, March 29, 2009 at 8am at Checkered Flag Mini.
The route will end at an Irish pub in Virginia Beach. (Sorry Harry, I forgot the name you told me).

As more information is gathered I will post it.

Can this be added to our calendar of events?

I was trying to paint it to match the 4 MINIs we have owned.  But it looks a little sloppy huh? 053

Missed seeing everyone today. 022  Unfortunately the weather threats probably kept most from coming.  Bummer though because it was a beautiful day for a scavenger hunt.  And Harry made sure that it was a challenge.   103  We definitely earned our prizes!!  But there were only two MINI's that competed so we guaranteed a prize.  David, Kathy & Apollo gave us a run for our money!

It was great to see you again, Harry.  You did a wonderful job putting this together!! 023  We can't wait till the next one. 039

Dave and I had a fabulous time.  I have little sand to clean out of my car cause I got sand in my shoes trying to outrun Angela.  She beat me until it came to finding the parking lot for lunch!!   PopcornEmoticon  Don't stand in the way of my meal!!  This is the first scavenger hunt I have attended and not only was it fun and extremely well planned, but educational as well.  The military loves MINIs!! 069

Two MINI's? Are you serious? I guess 15 cars for our gimmick rally wasn't bad then, AND it poured down all that day. I had forgot all about it, we rode up to the Petersburg area and found some nice twisties. I was going through withdrawal. Either that or practicing for the Dragon. Or at least the Bullfrog run next week in NC with Tarheel!

I just want to say hello and thanks to Kathy, Dave, Angela and Neil for surviving the second annual Italian Job Scavenger Run.  In the true spirit of the Movie we had three MINI's  023 Would have loved a bigger turnout, but I'm sure next years will be better. We had a very MINI day and it was great to share the MINI experience. 023

Hello Harry. Thanks again for all you did to put on the event last Saturday !
I finally got around to installing my Alta intake yesterday 038
I LOVE IT. I now have the high output ignition, plugs and wires and the intake to really make this old
'03 wake up. Next step should be the supercharger pulley. We'll see, that looks like a LOT of work to install.
Best to you and your better half, and remember to keep our special date open. Kath and I are looking to
plan something for the four of us to do together.
