Original post

Hey Guys, I just got an email from Jaque Hogge at Cooper Vineyards and he says they have scheduled their MINI event at the vineyard for July 18. I sure plan on going again this year. Hopefully, River City MINI's will do their drive again this year. That was a blast last year.

I used to feel the same way about autocrosses. After 30 years, I don't live for autocrossing as much anymore. The biggest thing I figured out,was if I wanted to drive a few hours, I could always find an autocross. I've killed my share of cones and won my share of trophies, but I found there's more stuff in life. But that's at THIS age. if I were younger, there might be a different story.

I still have many cones to kill!!  066  I haven't settled the score yet.  077  Plus, my trophy wall doesn't look anything like Dales!  044  I'm just getting used to winning trophies.  The more trophies the better!  112

You guys have a little extra fun for me, ok?

We'll probably be there, too! I really enjoyed it when we went two years ago, but I forgot why we didn't go last year. Must have had some kind of conflict...

Unlike the rest of yall I'm not much of a wino tho I do like great back road trips.  I'm leaning toward the Auto-x.
Now Elaine may follow yall up there, as she said she had a great time last year.

Not sure if the Richmond contingency is still willing to put on the neat little drive they did last year, but A) if they do, it's a LOT of fun and B) if they don't, I'll be glad to put something together. I was amazed how twisty roads that close to Richmond were!

Dale,  sounds great.  Hopefully my work schedule doesn't have me too busy to join up with y'all.  Loved the ice wine they had up there.

Dave and I will be there.  The turnout last year was super - easily over 100 minis parked in the grass!  It was really something.  I am sure the River City group will be doing their thing this year as well and if for some reason they are not, I am sure they will share their map for the outrageous road trip portion!  I have a seatbelt for my dog this year!

Ya'll come !!   For anyone that has not attended this event in the past, it is a fun event !  The folks at Cooper Vineyards love Mini's, welcome all that attend, and go out of their way to make sure that the Mini communitity feels welcome and has a great time while at their vineyard. It is one of the events that I personally really look forward to each year !!

Am really looking forward to this years event and hope to see a good showing from the HRCLUBMINI membership !

I hope to go (along with my wife).  Sounds like it would be a fun first event.
