Guys, I gotta tell ya. Regina, Christy and myself didn't have anything to do today, so we drove out to the Acorn Inn. While we didn't go to the Inn, we rode by it. Very nice looking place, though the 'hood getting to it could use some rural renewal. Very  twisty little road leading up to the Inn, too. Thought we were in the wrong place at first. The area just prior to the Inn is very run down. But once you crest the hill, there's the Inn. And it looks nice too. There is a goat farm on the right just as you turn off US29. The baby goats weren't much bigger than puppy dogs. I've never seen goat that small. They were too cute. (not cute in a banjo music kinda way!) Speaking of Banjo music, we spent a couple of hours driving around the area. Man, there are some FUN roads in that area! Rockfish River Rd is a blast. It's smooth, scenic and has twists and elevation changes to keep things fun. The next two weekends are full on my schedule, but I plan on making another run out thata way ASAP!

Oh, and I'll make my reservations Monday!

That's great Dale!  I'm glad you guys were able to head out and check the area out.  I am tickled pink to hear that you guys are going to be joining us on the 4th of July weekend.

Just so you know, we (Neal, Andria & I, and Steve and Elaine) are going to head out Friday morning and hitting a couple wineries on the other side of Richmond, then working our way to the Inn.  We also plan on heading over to Wintergreen Friday night for the fireworks.  If you guys can head out early on Friday, we'd love to have you join us! 023

Hey guys, I just found out that the fireworks are Saturday night!!!!  Woohooo!!!  So I was thinking that , Friday, when we get close to The Acorn we can hit a few wineries and grab dinner then go hang out at The Acorn and enjoy some crochet and relax.  Then we'll head out Saturday morning hit the arts & craft show at Wintergreen, grab lunch, hit more wineries, then grab dinner then see the fireworks at Wintergreen.

How's that sound? 023
