After seeing some of the success people have had painting the plastic trim, I think that may be my next move. I also am going to see how easy I can black out the chrome since Hermes is black and white.

Either way, he'll be one of a kind :-)

They do sell black kits for all the chrome picecs.

Did Dave catch a fly or something..... 104

Or do like me and Krylon the pieces followed by a Clear Coat. I used Krylon Fusion in gloss black, and used Krylon Clear coat. So far the pieces have lasted close to 2 months now in the elements and such. Not bad for a product designed more specific for lawn chairs instead of a daily driver going 60+mph in the rain and road pebbles and fly's,etc...   044

Fusion is one great product. I've even used it as a base primer for some engine stuff on my Ford truck, and that was over 3 years ago!

I was only expecting five or six Minis.  Looked like a dozen showed up!  Lotsa fun.

The ice cream run started a good weekend, which I needed after all the computer work I have done lately.  I went to lunch, a movie (thanks Erika and Jeff), then two more car meets yesterday.  Dez showed up at the late one at Bass Pro.  She's really cool.  Today, it was a classic Euro car show in Merchant's Square in Williamsburg, plus lunch with a friend at Sal's by Victor.   023

I think it might have been MOSS MINI that had black out tape for the trim.  Also sold the black rings for the headlights.  You might prefer taping instead of painting at first to see if you like the look.  Look around at the MINI assesorie sites.  Craven Speed, Minimania and more by searching on google.
