I'm not new to these forums, but thought this the most appropriate place to introduce Wolfgang.  As many of you know, I unfortunately needed to trade in my MINI for a multitude of reasons that I will not go into here.  I opted not to replace it at this time with another MINI, again for my own reasons.   022

After test driving the new Jetta TDI (turbo diesel) versus the Honda Civic (be nice, I thought that maybe I should give a non-German car manufacturer a chance...), I purchased a 2009 Jetta TDI.  While there was nothing wrong with the Civic, it just wasn't for me.  I like torque, what can I say.  And with a turbo?!?!  Mwahahahahaha!!!   077

Soooo....  This is Wolfgang!
- 2009 Jetta TDI
- Blue Graphite Metallic (I just can't seem to get away from blue cars...  This is #6.)
- Sunroof
- 6 speed manual transmission
- 140 hp, 236 ft*lbs torque
- Leatherette
- 6 disc in-dash changer, auxiliary input, Sirius
- EPA is 30 city / 41 highway, but I'm getting 43 combined / 48+ highway
- No mods yet, but looking at adding some subtle graphics so I can find it in a parking lot without making it beep and following the sound, and next summer I will be upgrading the suspension.

The TDI cars are great. Loads of torque. It'll be interesting to ssee how the MINI Diesels do when they hit the states. But that is a good looking car.

I think the MINI D would be awesome here!  I mean, if my Jetta's getting 48+ highway, just imagine what a MINI could do!  ORRRRRRR....  A hybrid diesel!  Best of both worlds!!!   026
