We do Smitty's every so often for lunch at the shop. We were thinking about Doumar's soon and I think Smitty's will fill that need just fine. Though Doumar's does have great ice cream!

I'm not a fast food / dine out kind of guy anymore. My internals prefer the things there used to now. But that won't stop me from marking my calendar and bringing the old Mini out for some BS time with fellow Miniacs.

Hey Steve, how about a call a couple days ahead so my grey cells can be refreshed???

Hoping to see you all and perhaps some of our new members at Smitties 026 I love the place ! It's really an "old time drive in". As Kathy has posted, in my opinion, the onion rings are to die for, just be sure you order the "batter fried rings" in order to get the real thing, otherwise you may get the generic frozen/processed type like they sell at Burger King  118

Put Sheri and I (Chuck) down, we may bring our (2) teenage daughters also.  Being we are on this side of the water and Sheri was born and raised in Norfolk, we are always up for Dumars.  We are always up for trying new old time car hop's places like Dumars & Smitty's,  there's not that many of them around any more.  039

AGREED!

While there is probably nothing even close to being healthy on the menu, the food is as good as it gets at a drive in. And YES, the onion rings are great!

Perhaps the next burger joint (Sonic anyone?) meet.

Till then................
