I'm afraid if MINI builds this, they"ll know straight away what it's like to work at GM. Yewwww

they need to stay with the speedster or countryman. We could be losing the battle with to may designs.

I'm one of "those" people that don't own a MINI!

I'm no expert here, but I do disagree on 2 fronts with the first being Mini’s lineage. The classic Mini had several variants including the Cooper, a sedan, a sloped rear “Speedster”, a van, a truck, and several Clubman varieties as well. With that said I see nothing wrong with MINI following its own heritage. Now if they went from making airplanes to cars or something, now then I would……. never mind.
Addressing the ever increasing model lineup… I think this may very well be what keeps MINI afloat and profitable for BMW. If BWM can make a moped from one of its chassis and use that profit to keep a Jet powered Cooper SS available to the vast minority of the buying public, I say go for it. Just saying. I don’t know if I would want a jet powered Cooper SS, but if some of that technology could make it into the version I wanted, then it’s all good. As a practical example… Getrag made an AWD Cooper a few years ago, just to see if it could be done and the global MINI community went wild, myself included. The only problem was there wouldn’t have been enough buyers of a high performance AWD JCW S to make it worth wild for BMW. Then came the Clubman….. bit bigger…. Proof of popularity in the sales of a slightly bigger vehicle, but still in line with the Mini heritage. Time passes and the American market is ready for a Small suv… oxymoronic I know, but we did coin the phrase Jumbo shrimp. None the less…. If the units sell, more models will be created. And so begins the life of the Countryman…with AWD in the works, and talk of entering the WRC. I await the announcement of the Speedster with the AWDtrain from the WRC Ralley Countryman in late 2018. Like I said I’m no expert here.

The above link did not work for me. Here's another URL: Mini Coupe ConceptMy opinion is any one of these can take off as a popular idea. I'm in favor of the speedster concept that I posted about a couple of months ago. Who knows... maybe I will buy another Mini down the road. The speedster and the coupe make intriguing options.

I'm still not too sure. Does anyone else see a Geo Storm resemblance in the rear?

I've held off on giving my opinion of it so far but um... It's butt ugly. Sorry, it looks like a diecast Mini after a fat man like myself stepped on the roof. Unimaginative, IMHO, in light of Mini/BMW's past displays of good design prowess and taste. If I still had a decent photo editing program I could give a VERY rough idea of what I would change about it but, I don't so...

Maybe, If I purchase one of these, cut the roof and everything else behind the door glass off, get a MINI from a salvage yard with a good back end, I could make my own doggone MINI Pick up truck, seeing as how the brilliant minds at MINI BMW just don't seem to understand that"s what some of us would actually like to have a crack at.

I like the Oscar Mayer mini wiener better than the red bull.... its yellow. If I had to choose between yellow and a pickup, I would pick yellow. A girl has to keep her priorities straight.
