Added this to calendar ow just need to come up with a time to meet.  Yorktown events start at 10am, but that would make for a very long day and taking parkway can take approx 30 - 40 minutes.

10 am would make a pretty long day, I agree. Those who have that type of shopping energy should feel free to do so regardless.

I on the other hand would think somewhere between 12 and 1 as a start time wouldn't be un reasonable, unless of course there's not enough to do in Yorktown for 3-4 hours? If so, why not schedule a start time to leave Yorktown and head to the Gardens so everyone could decide for themselves how much time they'd need in Yorktown?

Then a nice little Parkway cruise to the 199 exit and Bob's your uncle!

A meeting time in Yorktown between 12p and 1p sounds good. That way, those of us who want to spend a little time in Yorktown will simply get there earlier. Do the 45min parkway than fun at the BG park.... Thoughts?? 039

Found out Jake has to go to DC for work, so not sure at this point if I will be able to make this run.

Heres a minimal thought.

If it takes 45 minutes to cover the Parkway, and Busch dosen't open till 4pm, then leaving Yorktown before, say 3:15 pm, would be too early?

I think haveing a departure time from Yorktown would be the top priority at this point. Once that's decided, then those who require 3-4 hours in Yorktown can feel free to "shop till Ya drop". And those who may be satisfied with some sight seeing and saving there dough for Busch can just show up.

Thoughts??? Talk amongst yourselves, I'm feeling verklept!

Anyone still planning to attend this event  102  The weather forcast does not look very good at this time. I have a hard time at this time of year attending any HRMINI events because it is the hunting season, and I am a deer hunting addict, plus as an officer in my Hunt Club I am expected to be there on days that we will be running our deer hounds, which is every Saturday at this time in the season. Am also expected to stay over on Sat. nights in order to round up all of the dogs that we had turned out that day. Sometimes it takes several days to get all of them back, even with tracking collars on them  120 Latest weather forcast that I have seen calls for 90% chance of rain on Sat. icon_sad icon_cry Not a good forcast for either our Mini Christmas event or my hunting plans  icon_frown  I plan to make my decision about what I will do on Sat. tomorrow afternoon, (Fri.) based on the latest forcast information.

By the looks of the most recent weather activity, Hampton Roads will be "In for it" this Friday night and Saturday. That, in a nut shell, rules me out.  022

And I think Heidi would draw the line on that run too. 075
