Hey Jeff, we plan on doing the Bullfrog run again this year. We had a great time last year (this year actually). Also plan on making the covered bridge run as well, sorry we missed that last in '09. Not sure about MSSD. But do plan on doing the long haul for the Blue Ridge Pkwy Tour.

When I went to buy my '06 MCS the other day, I discovered the sales manager is Bob Turner, who used to work at CF. We talked a bit about events past. One he mentioned was the Ferry Run. I don't recall when this was done last. I've been in the club for a year and a half, and I believe I missed it then.

Can I suggest that we think about doing a charity run of some type in 2010? I'd love to give something back to Hope For Life Rescue in Virginia Beach. This is where I got my wonderful Arlechinno almost 2 years ago. This is a no-kill shelter that takes in cats (mostly) & dogs. I am willing to plan this out, but would like input if this is something folks would like to do. |

Not sure if you saw it over at the THMMC site (it is buried in the thread about BRP Tour 2010), but it looks like they are hoping to move MSSD to the weekend of October 15-16-17. iirc, y'all were hoping it might be possible to coordinate the Fall Colors Run with that.
Also, Bullfrog Run is tentatively scheduled for March 13th this year.

Yea Jeff,
I saw that tonight. Combining the Fall Colors Run with the MINI's Slay the Sleeping Dragon sounds intriguing. We'll definitely look into the possibility of that.
As for the Bull Frog Run, that was fun last year. I'll try to drag a few HR guys to that, Y'all have some FUN roads down there!

Here's a list of TarHeel MINI's upcoming events. I'm planning on making several of their events and volunteered to help out on the Blue Ridge Parkway Tour. Y'all really need to try to make some of their events. A couple of them you can do in 1 day. Others are an overnight thing and of course the Blue Ridge Pkwy tour is a 3 day thing. If you make one of their events, you won't be disappointed. They're a great bunch of MINI owners. The bold ones are the ones I'm fairly certain on making.

eh, they've changed on me again and moved MSSD back to Oct. 22 - 24.
fwiw, not all of the events listed are THMMC events. I try to pick up some national/regional events that I think some of our members may want to attend. No doubt when HRMINI gets a little closer to settling on some events/dates, I'll be adding them to the calendar.
