Adam, I'm so glad you are okay and so sorry about Mini Mojo. The pictures are terrible and I'm sure the car is even in worse shape than it looks. I know you loved your MINI and it served you well. Time for a new venture in a new MINI. Happy hunting and feel better.

Thank you all very much for your comments.  I know you all appreciated it as much as I did.  Thanks for grabbing the photos, Scott.  I've only had the chance to take some at the scene.  I talked to the claims agent today.  He seems to think it's repairable by my description, but I think he's underestimating the totality of the condition.

OMG !  I went by Dales shop this morning on my way to work and had a look at Mini Mojo. The photo's are good, but to see it in person is totally another thing. Adam, you are very lucky that you were able to walk away from that in such good condition !  What a strong little car !!!!

Well, I've settled with the insurance company.  Not exactly happy with what I got, but the salvage value was fair.  I'm keeping it to part out.  Probably will get Dale to help out.  I will post what I get in the for sale section once I get what I want out of it.

I'm still looking for another Mini.  There's a good Dark Silver '02 MCS on NAM for $12,500.  Only thing is the car is in Fargo, ND.  Gonna find out if it was only driven in the summer.

just came online and saw the MINI wreck. Thank god you are alright. As Dale reminded us on the Monterey MINI get together Ice, wet pavement and wet leaves can be just as dangerous as Ice.  again glad your alright.
Some suggestions about driving school are great idea it cost about $50 and eight hours, but will demonstrate to a judge that you take safe driving serious. 023

Hey Adam, I'm headed up past that Mini in Fargo around the 1st or the 2nd of January.  Want me to check it out if you still haven't found anything?  Too bad about Mojo though.  I doubt the Fargo one was driven in the summer only, just look for rust and salt damage.  The Mini's have a fairly tough under skin though.  As far as a driving course, I have taken quite a few while in hampton roads.  There is one in Portsmouth that is either two evenings or one saturday.  If you know where the Bier Garden is, go west on High to the next street over, there is a pharmacy on the northwest corner and a 7 or 8 story building on the southeast corner.  its in that tall building, go in main entrance and its on one of the high floors.

Thanks, Kurt.  The guy has not contacted me yet on the one in Fargo.  The undercoating on my Mini had started to come off just a little bit, so I'm using it as a gauge to others.  I had planned on adding a new layer within the next year.  If it's a small town, yeah, you can stop by and check it out for me.  That would be cool.

Still keeping options open.  If anything comes up, I'll make sure to post.

Adam,

Best of luck with the new Mini search, and again sorry about Mini MOJO  022 022  I had thought that you might jump all over that recent Richmond area '02 MCS that was posted. That was a SWEET car with low mileage and a good price.
Take your time and get what you really want. I'll keep my eye's open for any for sale Mini's for you.  There is a place up on Rt. 17  just North of Oriana Rd. on the left, that usually has a couple of nice Mini's on their lot. I'm sure you probably know the place that I'm talking about. Might want to go by and have a look......

Here are the other three.

I'm still shopping for another Mini.  Just taking my time at it.  I have not driven my old '86 Monte Carlo SS much lately, and I've been enjoying it since the accident.

My other project involves a '94 Z28 Camaro.  Hoping the engine will be done at the machine shop soon.
