There's been a brown classic Mini parked in front of McPherson's Garage on Wythe Creek Rd for the past 3 days. Never seen it before. Anybody know who it belongs to?

017 I don't know anybody with a brown Mini. Have you thought about stopping in and asking?  115

I spoke to a guy that works at ADVEX in the Langley Research Park about two weeks ago. He said he had bought a classic from somewhere in South Carolina, and he was working to get it on the road. Maybe this one is his. I did hand him an HRClub Mini card while I was there.

I stopped by McPherson's on the way home from work and spoke with one of the mechanics. The Mini was still there waiting to be worked on and he said he would give the owner the HR Mini web address. I've updated the 1st post with a phone picture. The car needs lots of restoration but it looked like there was a Mini "how to" manual in the back seat.

I've known Bubba (yea I know, ironic huh) McPherson since I was a kid. Great old style mechanic shop. Very good, honest people. And NO I didn't even look there on the way home tonight! I swear I'm getting senile!

It's called senility.  The technical term is senilitis maximus.  Very contageous...   044

Wouldn't it be neet if you could just put a "How To" manual in the car and everything would fix itself? 044

I'll also be interested in finding out what type of work they'll be doing to it there as well. Seeing as how most mechanics want little to nothing to do with Minis, until of course they get to know them better.

As for your eyesight and forgetfullness, well Dale, those are some of the first things to go...... 017

I agree, though I know the McPherson clan pretty well, I'm not sure they'd be overly fond of diving into a Mini. Of course, they are simple little cars and McPherson has been around since the 60's so they're probably in tune with the mechanical fundamentals. Personally, I'd have taken it to Steve Gibbs.

As for the eye sight and memory, they're just part of a long list of stuff that's gone!
