Well, Dale waves his body and paint magic wand once again.  I have done the trim on this Mini in Dark Silver Metallic, like I did on my old '02 MCS.  The M7 Extreme Hood Scoop was undamaged and has been moved over.  This time, the roof and spoiler have been repainted.  The mirror caps will be in next week and will also be done in Dark Silver Metallic.

I have to agree with Dale and his workers.  I EQUALLY like both my old and new Minis with this style.  It's just too hard to pick one over the other.

Nice shots Adam! After seeing it in pics, I think I like it even more now. Like the silver car, you can tell something is different, but it doesn't jump out at you.

One thing Adam left out was removal of the roof rack. The bolts were removed and I expected something along the size of a ball point pen. WRONG! The dang holes were like the size of a nickle! HUGE! We cut out blanks from sheetmetal and welded them in place. I have some pics I took somewhere. I'll post them up when I get back to the shop.

But it does look sharp!

Lookin' great, Adam!

I think the look would be even more pulled-together if you were to change all the chrome (except the MINI emblems) over to the Dark Metallic Silver:  door & boot handles, front grills (or maybe just the grill surrounds & not the slats), fuel door cover and the midline moulding.

Was the color sprayed over existing moldings, or was all this replaced with new parts? Is it a matte finish as well? My PC can't get the quality of the finish like the naked eye. It looks really good, and what a wonderful idea, to go with an opposite color from what everything else has.

You see plenty of MINIs with color matching trim. This is sweet. I likes...... 023

Hey John,
What we did was reuse most of the surviving pieces since they were new OEM last year. We replaced the ones that didn't make it. I must say, with everything they went through they held up extremely well. Sikkens plasto-flex is great.

They were painted base/clear with Chroma base in MINI code 871 Technical  Grey. So basically, the flares were darker than the car last time and now they're lighter than the car. It gives a good contrast.

So most of the flares are from the first MOJO.

If memory serves me right, both rockers, all three pieces on the rear bumper, the right quarter and the right bonnet flares were still good. We replaced the three front bumper pieces, left bonnet flare, both fender pieces and the left quarter flare were new. Given what they went trough they held up great.
