Tar Heel MINI's 3rd Bull Frog run will be March 20th. This run starts in Winston Salem and runs north on Rte 66 to Hanging Rock state park. These MINI owners always have a great time and Rte 66 is a LOT of FUN! Tyler and I did this run last year and there was probably 30+ MINI's there. I think it would be a bit much to do in 1 day, so I'm planning on overnighting down there. I'm telling ya, these guys have a good time and this is one fun run. Here's THEIR LINK |

I see the run is dedicated to a member who passed away. Very cool.  Unfortunately, this is the weekend of our next Open House at the train club. Will have to pass this one up.  |

I'm going for sure. We had a blast last year. Tyler came up from Charlotte and made the run with us, that was even better. He said something about not wanting to drive down from Rhode Island this year or something. Whatever  I'll head down there friday night. It's about a 4 hour run to Winston Salem. Last year I got home around 7 or so that evening. |

OK, this is now a maybe. Something related to all three clubs I'm in is this weekend, and I may actually be able to juggle all of them. Never thought they would all converge at one time like this.  |

Quick heads up here, anyone else thinking about going down to Winston Salem for this event?
Seems there's some snake oil salesman, Oh I mean evangelist, doing some sort of revival down there and rooms are booked for MILES around! I've tracked down a few rooms but all are over an hour away. Give me a shout if you're interested, but make it fast!

I booked a room at the Crossland Inn just up the road. Go do Travel Now and enter "stanleysville, nc" as your destination. It's $39.99 for one room, plus $7 for two guests. Smoking was the only thing available, though. I'm going by myself, so let me know if you want to bunk and split the room fee. I'm sure I can upgrade if needed. |
