This was such a great trip! Dale you really out did yourself this time. I hope everyone made it home safe and sound. It was good to see everyone and so nice to make so many new friends. That Blackberry Merlot was the best! Hope to see everyone again soon. Safe motoring everyone!

Kathy, Maggie and myself arrived home safe and sound after a wonderful weekend. We had a Blast ! May thanks to Dale and Regina for all the effort and time you put in to planning this weekends fun. Extra points to Dale. The man can keep a secret ! Congrats to the newlyweds, and thank you for allowing us to be there on your wedding day. The drives were great and the lunch stops were GREAT choices. The Inn may be a little old and clunky, but I really enjoy staying at that place. Even trying to take a nice morning shower was entertaining ! All in all, it was a REALLY fun weekend !

Hey Bill, Wish you and Beth could have stayed. The meal at the Inn Saturday evening was really good, and although I'm not much of a wine drinker, the Blackberry Merlot as previously mentioned was not too shabby. You missed some great roads and some very spirited runs on Sunday too.

I could have sworn that I made a post about this before but.... damned fine event Dale! I couldn't imagine it being better. The people, the roads, the food, everything was 150%! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Guys, thanks for the good words. I really do think we had a great time this weekend. We got lucky on the weather, had some awesome roads and a couple of decent eateries along the way. I think we kinda overwhelmed CJ Maggies, but they did a good job and those of you that missed Sunday's lunch, well, I'll just leave it at that, though I do have two words:Creme Brulee'
Also, if you missed Sunday's roads, mark route 678 on your GPS and head back out to Monterey. I have an all time new favorite road. Count on seeing that again next year!
Let's start planning FCR 2011 ASAP!

Since I was not able to make this event, and after hearing the rave reviews, I've since noted Rt 678 in my map book, for future reference. I see it's a mighty long road, with much of it in the Geo Wash Nat'l Forest. How much of it did you travel within those boundries. I've been close to that area on my way to and from skiing in WV, but I'd like to make a run on it sometime under more reasonable driving conditions other than snow and/or black ice.
