So how's everyone doing?  My name is Mike just getting back from being stationed overseas I'm interested in getting into racing, so if anyone on here races MINIs and is willing to share info to a beginner I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Mike

Welcome to HRMINI!!  Yes, there are a few racers in the group.  I'm not one of them.  I'm more of a socialite and fun road driving.

Come join us at our semi-monthly MINIs at the Pub in Hampton.  Next one is Wednesday, March 24th 7pm.  See the calendar for all the details.

Hey Welcome to the club!  038

I've raced one thing or another for 25+ years now. Most recently I've raced Legends cars at Langley Speedway. I always come back to autocrossing though. Just something about running around pylons that gets the blood pumping. The whole family has actually. The boy child and I used to go down the the Central Carolina SCCA regions autocrosses. Not bragging, but we both ran his 07 MCS in different classes and through 6 events we were undefeated. Autocrossing a MINI is a lot of fun.

Another option is track events. Several groups hold them at regional race tracks. Between VA Int'l Raceway, Summit Point and a few others, it's pretty easy getting on track, though the danger factor grows significantly. Give us a shout as to what you're looking for.

Welcome to HRMINI. Not a racer, more of a spectator. First big one for me was Indy in 69. Andretti fan ever since. Did some drag racing in the mid to late 70's. That was fun and expensive  103

See Ya some day soon I hope.

Yes, welcome aboard.  If your into other cars as well, come out sometime at Bass Pro Shops in Hampton.  I'm usually out there Saturday nights sometime after 9 p.m.

Yeh it's starting to get warm again. Might be doing this aswell. Will just have to drive my mini to work on Saturdays. There is also a gathering on Saturdays at Freedom Wash on S Independence Blvd. Have bumped into a few Mini's there before. It's mixed with Rods and Ricers like Bass Pro Shops.
