Whats with ppl living in Va Beach. I pass countless MINIs everyday and give a smile and a wave...What do i get in return? A look like who are you and why are you waving at me. Me and my wife went to Busch Gardens on Saturday and drove down 60. We passed a couple of MINIs and all of the drivers waved to me before i could. Oh well...thats my rant.

A lot of people who drive Mini's are extremely friendly and wave; but believe it or not there are those that consider it just a car and a means to get from here to there.  I have noticed that the ones that personalize their plates are more than likely the ones that will wave and get the "whole Mini thing". I wave regardless.

I'm waving all the time.  Sometimes I don't see another Mini until too late.  Then I wave in the rear view mirror but I'm sure the other driver doesn't see it.
I see a returned wave about 1 in 5 times.  I figure a few more may wave back when it is too late for me to see.

JJF you are the "NAM MAN". I have read soooo many "wave" threads, egads.

It's a shame so many owners are un-aware of the history of this great little car. I used to wave like a crazy person myself. I slowed down a bit after the wave was no longer being returned, and sadly stopped.

Now I feel like total dog doo doo when someone waves and I miss it.

Try flashing your lights next time. If you don't get an immediate response, theres still a bit of time for a one finger salute. 018

Your right people up here (peninsula) wave more. I have a couple of MINI's that wave ever time I see them on my way home in the afternoon. 039 039 039

A few of my car meet buds have commented on how snooty MINI owners are.  I'm usually the only MINI out at Bass Pro Shops, and they consider me the exception to the rule.

I have been wanting to show up at some of the Sat. night get togethers at the Bass Pro Parking lot, but just haven't managed to free up the time. Hoping that I will make it there soon to back you up, and prove we are NOT SNOOTY at all.

I remember one time we did a dinner at the steakhouse out in front of Bass Pro on a Saturday night.  It was cool seeing the row of Mini's next to all the other cars.  Plus we got to walk over to Cold Stone for ice cream after admiring all the other cars
