The above noted is a new car show in town. I just happened by this past Saturday, April 3rd.

They are not replacing the Hampton Roads Harley Davidson show on Saturdays. They will run from about 5pm till the cars leave. I spoke with the gate people and they told me entry fees are whatever you wish to donate. The park is open to all makes and models to include newer cars (MINI's in large numbers would be pretty cool too).

This was there first night and they had a fairly large turn out of cars, considering very few people knew about it. A little bit of everything. The setting is quite nice as well. Lot's of space for ball games and general frolicking in the park. Plenty of parking and music, food, porta potties, etc. Playgounds for the kids.

All said, even if you don't do car shows, this is a nice place to spend some quality time with the family. I plan on making it a regular stop on Saturdays. Look into it, and see if it fits into your schedule.

There should be a continuance of an early show at the Hardee's on Dresden and Jefferson in Newport News  Saturdays from 5 p.m. to about 9 p.m.  Unfortunately, the late show at Bass Pro Shops in Hampton has been disbanded.  I went by after the monthly dinner at Ice House, and the parking lot was empty, except for two Hampton cops.  If I find out more, I will post.

I have not been to the Harley show in quite some time.

I'm reasonably sure that some of the Bass Pro Shop Rice Burners were at this show. Some very nice Japanese steel too I must say. I love just about anything on 4 wheels.  023
