Man, it looks like 2011 is gonna be even busier than this year was! Here's my MINI plans as of now.

Helenblitz in Feb
MINI's on the Dragon May
Blue Ridge Pkwy in June
Fall Colors Run in Oct
Mickey & MINI's in October is a must too, since Tyler will be down there.

June, July and August looks pretty empty right now, but I'm sure that'll change.

I'd consider trying to make MINI United. I keep hearing how much fun everybody that went had. They say MINI really treats you right. Of course, it is a decent size expenditure! Spain would be cool, Portugal, maybe, France, not so much.

Would also like doing AMVIV in Vegas. I'll be there next month fo ra meeting, so I'll check the hotel out then. THAT would be a road trip! Would be cool with a handful of MINI's though.

MINI's on top would also be neat, as would the White Mountains run. New England mountains are pretty cool. I just hate the I95 corridor up tahta way. We just did it rescuing Tyler from the clutches of Yankee-ville and don't really cherish a trip up there anytime soon.

What are y'alls plans?

Well like you said its going to be busy this next year.  With some of the dates so close together I'm not going to make as many as I would like.

MOTD
Blue Ridge Parkway or MINI's on TOP
Fall Colors Run and maybe MINI &Mickey

Of course this will take my new car closer to its warranty limit. 017

With my crazy schedule for 2011, I doubt I'll be able to make any of the really big events, but hope to make a spring fling run and maybe even a fall colors run!

Don't forget Cooper Vineyards.  I believe there was talk about moving this a month back to June to try and beat the heat.

I strongly suggest Mini's on Top.  Not only because I'm from that neck of the woods (CT), and that I'm a volunteer for it, but it is indeed a GREAT time had by all.  Just sayin'...

Mini's on top sounds like are really good time. Susan showed me her pictures and it was beautiful.

Don't really know what events I will be participating in this next year, got to tighten the reins around here.

I'd be up for the Vineyard run in June.  Pencil me in for that...

Quoting Dale:
"MINI's on top would also be neat, as would the White Mountains run. New England mountains are pretty cool. I just hate the I95 corridor up tahta way. We just did it rescuing Tyler from the clutches of Yankee-ville and don't really cherish a trip up there anytime soon."

As a "Yankee" (as it were), when I go up there, I avoid 95 just about the whole way up.  It takes about the same amount of time if you took 95, so don't let that be your only reason not to take the trip to MOT.

Just sayin'...

Add some extra time to the equation and have the adventure begin and end right here, by taking secondary roads the entire way. That's what I did on my last two trips to northern New England.

Just  a quick clarification note .. since I see a few references to this in this thread - MOT will not be taking place the weekend of June 25-26 this year, it will actually be the weekend before (same weekend as the BRP run with Tar Heel .. )

But if you are just dying for a drive up the East Coast, do note there are several of us - I think we are up to 8 cars from Tar Heel now - that will be doing the BRP run over Father's Day weekend but splitting off from that group Sunday AM to meet up with The Great Ice Cream Run in Staunton, VA and we will depart out Monday morning (6/20) to head by way of lots of ice cream stops to Bar Harbor, Maine .. an absolutely gorgeous seaside town, a delightful place, especially in the summer time where it will be significantly cooler than it is in the mid-Atlantic .. the rest of the weekend plans once arriving to Bar Harbor will vary .. with some spending the weekend there and then making a beeline back south, and others spending a couple of days in Boston on the return trip ..

If you have the slightest interest, PM me and I will do what I can to provide details or get you in contact with someone who can ..

(Even if you don't want to make the whole drive, we'd love to have you join up with us for any segment of it .. )
