After spending most of the winter in Rhode Island, the wheels on Tyler's car had seen better days. Not to mention the clear was peeling, which would have been covered by warranty if it werent' for the curb rash. So he decided to try to get them powder coated. Advanced Custom Coating in Hampton does a great job. I've seen others he had done so Tyler decided on goin all black for a different. I'm not personally a big fan of Black wheels, bu I hav eto admit, they look pretty good.

On the MINI. I'm getting used to them.

What did that cost to have them powder coated? You know me and that pesky brake dust!

I send Tony a lot of work, so I got kinda a deal, but usually a whole wheel will run about 75 bucks. If ya just want the spokes or the recesses it means more masking and more money. I was totally amazed by the choice of colors he can do. There were some bright green ones for a Honda in there too. He was also doing some tanks that looked like scuba tanks in candy apple blue. Dang they were awesome looking. BTW, he also did the chassis on my Legend car. I was in there today and it must have been 120 degrees in the shop. I really feel for the guy! Must be a great job in the winter though.

Here's his WEBSITE check out the "services" link for a shot of the blue tanks. Man they're awesome!

Wow that's a lot cheaper then the guy around here. I think he runs about $125 a tire.

At the risk of upsetting fans of yellow, the black gives the MINI a much more aggresive look than before. Yellow, being a daisy, banana, pee pee color, is a wee bit too timid for me. But I do like these results. I've been looking here                       http://www.victoriatire.com/      for some wheel package ideas for future use, check it out. Package prices are pretty respectable.
