EMERGENCY EMERGENCY EMERGENCY

YORKTOWN IS OUT!!!!!

I didn't even think about it being 4th of July. I have a buddy up there now and says it's totally packed already! Remember, they do fireworks and people come EARLY!!!! They have some of the roads closed off as well. SO let's kill the plan for Ben & Jerry's!!!!!!

May I suggest Bruster's Just west on 199. We can still do the Parkway towards Yorktown, then U turn and head back to Bruster's off 199.

Remember the Parkway is closed from 199 to Jamestown as well. Damn it all!!!!!

I actually wondered about that, thinking what a perfect Independence Day plan .. wouldn't everyone else be thinking the same ..

Confirmed will be at Colonial Downs (which will also be packed hence the afterparty post-fireworks to clear the parking lot) .. no MINI but son's S2000 so that's "mini" in a way, right .. ?

Cell is 9l9 6O6 65l5 if anyone else so inclined. (will be leaving Raleigh around 12:30pm so no email after that)

Happy 4th to all!

We may head out there today, but we'll just peel off and head home towards Yorktown when you guys u-turn.  So where exactly is the parkway closed off on this end?

A boat did a hit and run on the bridge at the Jamestown end of the Parkway last year. Supposedly did a real number on the piling. Their website says it's closed from 199 to the road leading into the Jamestown visitors center. After doing a quick google maps search, 199 is the last junction to get on/off. I'm' not sure how far up the Parkway they have closed off. I'll do a quick run up there on the way to the Target. There are some nice beaches up that way, so I'd hope they'd leave them open, but I'm not sure.

And I have no idea why I never even considered the Yorktown fireworks crowd 090

Have fun, all.  I was going to drive down there but my 3-yr old son became ill yesterday.  Tis a shame because we both love MINIs and ice cream.

Mike, not a problem. We'll do Pizza on August 28 at Bottoms Up Pizza in Richmond after the MOSS MINI open house. Probably Ice Cream then too!

Shawn, I was stuck in traffic on I64 for about 30 minutes, so I know the feeling!

Wouldda been good seeing y'all. Don't worry, there'll be a next time!

Ali, It was good seeing you and Mark down in our territory. Glad you could escape the Beltway! HR MINI is all about hospitality, we love our out of town visitors! You know y'all are welcome any time! Bring the rest of the gang next time!

I didn't make it to Ben & Jerry's, but I did spend a lot of time yesterday (and today) detailing my JCW Clubby.  I washed the car on Saturday and used the Zaino clay bar on it yesterday, then applied Z-2 PRO, Z-6, Z-2 PRO, and Z-6.  I'll probably do one more Z-2 PRO and final spray on it with Z-6.  Ultimately, she will get some Z-8 Grand Finale (awesome stuff!).

I hope to have a couple of exterior mods installed in time for Cooper Vineyards......  023 039

Love ZAINO!!  Have you tried the clear wax yet?  If not, I'll try to remember to bring it to the vineyards and you can check it out.
