I'm staying in Williamsburg, it's not far from route 199, about 20 mins from the historic area. It's Mark's parents house so we're in a neighborhood. 2:00 Sunday is ideal, I can easily do that. I'm so excited that I'm going to get to come out and play with you guys  |

My plans are currently up in the air at the moment. I'm a maybe for Sunday, but will try like heck to make it. I'm on a secret recon mission. Well, guess it ain't too secret. anyway, here's what I'll suggest:
Meet up
Meet at the Target beside Water Country off Route 199. As you turn into the shopping center, meet in the lot to the right of the front of Target. Wheels up 2:00 PM
Agenda
Head west on the Parkway for a while, find a nice turnout and regroup. Get back on the Parkway and head to Yorktown. Park on the top of the garage and head to Ben & Jerry's for ice cream.
By the way, Y'all didn't have to wait for me. Anybody could have came up with an idea.

Excellent meet up point. I may arrive a little early at Target since it's only about three miles from my house. Scott, I'm sure you can make it even with your eyes closed. As an FYI, the Miss Hampton Harbour cruise is sold out (I know I'm too much of a procrastinator!) ... *somebody* (hint, hint Kathy!) please be sure and post about this event as maybe it's one to put on the books for next year as a full-fledged MINI event ..

Still debating... if I get my tasks and chores done today in time I could be up for this.
Also not much of a Water park guy (unfamiliar with the area). So judging by Google maps. I would assume the Target on Whittakers Trace road?

Extend the 4th celebration? Had been tossing about the idea of going to Colonial Downs combined with the HR MINI Yorktown ice cream drive .. and, well, can't get there in time at this point for the MINI drive but noticed that post time is not until 5pm this evening in New Kent. There will be a band and fireworks at 9:30 and an "after party" (however that's defined!) at 11pm .. http://www.colonialdowns.com/promos .. So it's starting to shape up as a plan for the evening .. gotta confirm with oldest son and he's not outta bed yet  Anybody else? Seems like it might be a very logical extension to the ice cream drive .. (I'll be driving a non-MINI unfortunately .. has something to do with 2345 miles on it to Mt Washington last week and the lease being up in 10 days, gotta spare miles for the next 2 weeks, but I'm assuming MINI people will still be friendly to non-MINI driving MINI people  ) |
