Just as a side note Terry Baker at Atlantic Autowerks in Va Beach is a great substitute for MINI service. Very knowledgeable and thorough. You can get them at 466-1269 AND...they give HR MINI members a discount.

I recommend Atlantic Autowerks with out a doubt. Terry works on my '06 MINI when I need stuff I don't have a clue about, which is a lot. LOL  023

Steve...we'll count you in for supplying the shop space.

Now then, everyone else who needs mods, needs to reaffrim that so I can pass the word on Way.

If Steve's place becomes unavailable, we could use the bodyshop space here.

Thanks Dale, it always good to have a back-up plan, and to have two potential shops in which to work, sounds great.

Now..as mentioned; I'll need everyone who has previously indicated their interest in having work performed on their MINI, to either repost your needs here or PM me directly. I won't be able to get Way to come to town without such a commitment.

Thanks all.

I've emailed this thread to Way, so he can see what we're all thinking and discussing. As soon as I hear back from him, we'll move forward.

Way here, this looks like we can make it happen.  So if everyone interested could email me direct we will figure out what parts and jobs I have, then schedule the date or dates.  So let me know what you want Pullies, Intakes, Sway bars, bushings, mounts, braces, ECU tunes.

email me with HRmod party as title of the email.

Thanks for jumping on the thread, Way. Hopefully we still have enough interest to make a go of this. Keep us posted as you receive the emails from the particiapnts so we can get a date coordinated. We currently have two folks who have volunteered shop space for the day.

For anyone who needs one on their 1st-Gen, Way's the man for the TSW mount.  Let's you know your engine's talkin' to you.   023

For anyone with a 2nd-Gen S, I have a recommendation.  Way has come out with an upgraded diverter valve for the turbos.  You can read more on NAM here:  NAM - Performance Diverter Valve Opinions.  OctageGuy did a great writeup on how to install the part.

It's not a blow-off valve; it recirculates the excess back into the engine (just like the stock one).  Those who have bought it claim there is less lag in between shifts, as well as less of a need to use the Sport mode.  Some say it's not power gained, but rather power that was previously lost.  It's only $64.

Definately a Alta pully and possibly ECU tune.
