Nathan here!
Checkered Flag will be hosting it's 2nd Cars and Coffee Event on August 14th from 8am to 11am. Just like last time we will have coffee and danishes/bagels. We are anticipating a larger event this time due to less schedule conflicts. I hope to see all of you there. Please post any comments or suggestions that I may pass along to hopefully make this event AWESOME for everyone!
AUGUST 14th

Old Bloom's Furniture Parking lot.
Corner of Witchduck Road, and Virginia Beach Blvd.

Obviously at the time of this event I will no longer be working at CF, but I am planning on still going to the event... Is there going to be a plan for another caravan of cars? I thought that was really cool for the last event and I would enjoy participating in the arrival this time?

I'm not sure who is going to be running the event this time but maybe you could pass on some info.
Instead of having a 20%,25% off coupon for accessories why not bring items and give the discount at the event.
I would be more apt to spend $$ if the selection was larger and the discount was the same day.
Here is a list of idea items that personaly I would pick up if they were right there:
Rubish bag
Valve stem caps (all 4 styles)
Checkered Flag tote
Umbrella
Sunshade
Grill Badge Holder
Interior mirror covers(all 3 styles)
Seat Belt holder
Just an idea?

I think we can all meetup in the same Sears parking lot around 10:30. Intersection of I264 and Witchduck. Then leave at 11am as a group to arrive together.

Kathy, are you talking about meeting before the event of after wards? You mentioned meeting up at 10:30, which would be close to the end of the event. Just confused?  |

I think 0730 at the sears parking lot would work well. We looked pretty good last time when we pulled into the parking lot!

Is this still on? I haven't seen any posts of late ... not sure what my plans are for the weekend, but it's one I'm not working (that makes 2 in a row, amazingly enough, tho the last one I had a little bitta MINI business to tend to in Atlanta  ) ... let me know if this is still on the books *and* especially if there is anything (drive?) planned for after since that might be more realistic time-wise for me .. Also, if anyone is still checking this from Checkered Flag .. water, or an alternate to coffee would have been a great addition since some of us would incur speeding tickets in our MINIs if we combined driving with caffeine in the AM  |
