Well guys, and gals, it seems that i wont be bringing the classic back with me to much of a hassle with the military releasing the car to be imported.   But we are slated to be back in the states in the first 2 weeks of September, we are going to try to get to the FCR, but we will see what happens with shipping Red back....

What issues are you having with bringing him back?  I had to pay the $2K for shipping costs but other than that is was an easy process to import mine.  What year is your car?  If it's 25 years or older (1985 at this point) there is nothing that needs to be done to it.

You're fine as long as you don't start him up till he dries.  Also, you need some new arches, try here:  http://www.minispeed.co.uk/content/curley-specialised-mouldings-carbon-fibre-miglia-arches-showing-weave-set-4

I haven't fitted the front ones yet... but i did get these

http://www.minispares-online.co.uk/?cat_id=7&sub_cat_id=54&prod_id=21

I just have to get the paint done and then i will fit them...

took him over to the local Italian mechanic that i know to fix the lights, dude broke his eyeteeth on original 500's and Minis back in the day.
