I should probably find out if its still going on, but every year from Spring through late Summer and sometimes into the Fall, there is a car show at Hampton Roads Harley Davidson on HWY 17 in York County on Saturday afternoon-evenings. There are usually about 100 cars, mostly of the American muscle car variety, but there are frequently many exotics and antiques too. It has been rumored that occasionally a Mini Classic will show up.

The show is free though I think they request a donation at the "gate" which is usually circumvented by most people who drop by.

I think it would be fun to rally there. If there is some interest, I will check and see when the season ends this year. If its too late, we can just ...wait 'til next year.

Whaddaya think, MINIPeople?

It's not a car; it's a lifestyle

I used to take mine up there every now and again.  Nothing newer than a 1975 is allowed in and it gets pretty full.  A good time on an early Sat eve.

I've been there twice this year with Bertie. I'll go again if there's an HRMINI caravan goin to show up.

Okay folks, the Yorktown car show is still going on ...at least according to the guys at the Harley dealer where it happens.

How about 16 Oct? That should be enough time to make most people's calendars. And it will probably still be going on at that time. They usually finish "the season" when it starts to get seriously cold, like in Novermber or December.

It would be great to see the Classic Minis there!

Should we meet there or rally elsewhere and invade?

That's the Fall Colors Run weekend. Of course, not everyone is going, so the gang still left in Hampton Roads should make an appearance!

oooops, yer right. That is a bad weekend. My bad.

I will try to find out when the show ends this year. Maybe we can push this off to later in Oct., like the 23rd or the 30th if the show is still going on.
