Known Issue with 2010 MC AC

As many of you already know I have taken my Camden to Crown MINI twice now for my AC problem of making a horrible noise. I went to pick it up yesterday and was told that the BMW inspector (or whatever they call him) was there and spent some time on my MINI. Alan the MINI Service Manager said they tested 6 other MINI's and they all made the same noise. However mine seemed to be the loudest. The inspector admitted it was a known issue but they didn't have a fix for it and did not say if there would be any announcement at this time about the problem.
He told me that I should receive something from MINI about my AC problem in 60-90 days. And that maybe it would be one of those issues that get fixed by the number of complaints.
I did express how disappointed I was with the outcome and I was not going to settle for that's just how it is. I have no intention of having to turn my stereo up loud enough to drown out the noise.
Please if you have a 2010 Mini listen to the AC, you can hear the noise escalate with an increase of throttle. Contact your MINI dealer and don't settle for that's normal. The more of us that contact them the better. Hopefully it will push them to come up with a solution quick.

It's only normal if they "all" do it, and they don't so they should fix it, right? If they need an example of the one MINI that doesn't make the noise they can call me and I will be happy to let them listen to my AC. They must have thought it was a problem because they tried to fix it twice. You can ask Frank at CF (I know) if he has heard of this issue. What does it sound like? Rattle, whine, whistle, hum, bang, pop, Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies? My engine does make some of those noises.

You heard the lady! If you're having that problem with your 2010, make SURE you call MINI and let them know.
I know we have a lot of people that read these boards and just don't post. SO make you you help out yourselves and all the other 2010 owners who have, or may develop this problem.

I did find this thread. There is a sound clip in there somewhere too. A few Camden owners as well.

That's it!! I posted this on Motoring Alliance but forgot to post on NAM. I posted there too now. Thanks Mike good find. Now to get the cruise control fixed on my blue mini. It may be the switch on the brake. Someone on NAM suggest that. They also suggested the switch on the clutch but since I don't have one I can't check that.
