On my way to an appointment this morning, I came upon an accident at the intersection of Portsmouth Blvd & Hodges Ferry Rd.

A pickup truck collided with a minivan, pushing the minivan into a Silk Green MINI which was in the far right turn lane getting ready to make a right turn onto Portsmouth Blvd from Hodges Ferry Rd.

There was absolutely nowhere for the MINI to go.   088

The Silk Green MINI has been to a few events and is owned by a Portsmouth Firefighter; I believe the plates are XL MINI.

On my way home from the appointment, I had to drive past the accident scene which had since been "cleaned up" (for the most part) but as I was the first car in line at the redlight, I could see the arch reflectors on the ground.   088

I see that MINI at the Hodges Ferry Rd Fire Station all the time and I certainly hope the owner of the MINI (as well as the others in the accident) aren't seriously injured.

The impact looked to be quite intense, but it didn't appear that anyone was trapped inside a vehicle.

Sneezy, for a moment I thought you were going to say you had another (sneezy) attack. I think I know that silk green MINI too.

Sorry to hear that.

How terrible, I hope everyone was okay too. Wasn't that Silk Green Sherry's old car?

No...not me, thankfully!  Although there have been way too many close calls on the drive into work each morning!

Last week alone, I almost got hit on the passenger side or rear-ended by female drivers who were doing the following:

1.  Painting left hand while driving and of course veering to the left.  I should've let the biotch hit me and the State Trooper would've seen the spilled nail polish, smudged nails, etc. as PROOF she wasn't paying attention while driving.

2.  Applying eyeliner while driving.  A good brake check on my part caused one gal to end up with cleopatra eyeliner all the way to her ear, I'm sure!  She was pped (could see her swearin' at me by looking in my rearview mirror).  The other gal poked her eye with the pencil.  LOL

3.  Trying to fasten a clasp on a bracelet on her left hand.  grrrrr

4.  Texting while holding the device on the steering wheel.  Yeah...the State Trooper would've been able to see all the recent texts via the timestamp.

I would've loved a Silk Green MINI...or Purple Haze...

If I'm near the fire station this weekend, I may stop by and see how he's doing.

I'm not sure if it was or wasn't Sherry's old car; I'll ask her and see if she sold it to a firefighter.

Since the ambulance wasn't on scene with the firetruck, I don't think anyone was seriously hurt.

Don't know if it was my SG or not. Mine had PDC and green leather. I did not sell to a firefighter, I traded it to a dealer and do not know where it went after that. Sad whether it was mine or not, there are not many SGs left.  icon_frown
