The 2011 MINI Cooper Countryman - the all-new crossover version of the MINI - is set to be unveiled at Passport MINI of Alexandria on Nov. 5-7, 2010. The MINI Countryman is 5.5 inches longer than the Clubman and 15.7 inches longer than the Cooper, making it the biggest MINI in the lineup. It's truly a family friendly MINI.

As well as being the biggest and most rugged member of the MINI family, the Countryman promises to be the most tech-laden. It will have full integration for smartphones and optional all-wheel drive on the S model.

Come see the new model in person Nov. 5-7 at Passport MINI of Alexandria and be one of the first in the country to place an order and take delivery before the official launch!

To attend the Countryman unveiling event, please email your RSVP to general manager David Hellmuth at david.hellmuth@passportmini.com.

In addition, come to Passport MINI of Alexandria on Sunday, Nov. 7, for a DC MINI Club Rally to benefit the Wounded Warriors Project. For more information, log on to the DC MINI website www.dcmetrominis.org or visit www.woundedwarriorproject.org.

unfortunately i cant figure out how to get the picture from my email to this post, but it is a sexy looking car. i like my lil mini, but i gotta admit it fills up fast when we go to the store. just thought some of you might not already kno about it.

My wife and I got to touch, feel, smell, sit, and crawl in (but not drive) the Countryman @ MTTS in Denver. It is really nice and adds another option for drivers. I was assured that it "drives like a MINI", although my Clubman doesn't drive like my MCS did. Its not bad, just a little different. So, I expect the same from this one. I really liked what I saw. 038 038 038

J.P. - I posted almost the same comments over in DCMM (re: touch, feel, smell, etc). I want to drive before I pony up any money. It might 'drive' like a MINI, but will it 'handle' like one? We'll need a test drive to find out. A 'proper' test drive  003

No question, "handling" will be key. Living here in the mountains of WV, it would be fun to give it a "true" test. Sitting in the drivers seat certainly feels different. Its higher off the ground, and taller and the bonnet seems large, compared to other MINIs. I can say that when I was talking to the guys that were driving them on MTTS, you couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces! I know they were from corporate MINI, but they seemed really psyched about the Countryman.

MINI should have given us all one to "test drive" on the Fall Colors Run!
