From what I'm told, I *should* sign up.  Apparently there are some who think I'm a bad driver...  icon_rolleyes 102

Yea, when you can't run with an old Datsun Wagon! 044

When I have 300 years of experience and the time and disposable income to construct a car strictly for autocross I'll race your Mini and your Datsun and spank both handily!  110
That only 30 years experience ( I'm not that old yet) and the car is street legal. Now stop your  022 022 022 099

Okay I really feel old now. I ran my first autocross in '79! That gives me 31 years.   damnit.......
I'm sorry Dale to make you think that your old but I actually ran my first one in 1971. Right after we got back to the States and I got my first Datsun 510 out of High School. Now do you fill old. 017

Well in 1971, my mom was a freshman in high school.  Guess I'm not that old then!  LOL

Of course Steve does have a point.  I'm afraid now that he has a turbo!

Great Cameron! I think three or four helpers/instructors/guides will work well. I plan on it being a FUN day more than a learn to race day.

Too many people only drive their cars normally. I want MINI owners to know what their cars CAN do and to know what it feels like and how much fun it is. THEN, how to control the cars. To know the antilock brakes feel different. To hear the tires squeal in a corner. They need to learn how to enter a corner and exit a corner as well as pick a good line through a turn.

I don't think anyone will leave the track and set FTD at the next autocross, but I hope to make them much more confident in handling their MINI's.

OH, and a quick tech session as well. So they get to know their cars a bit better.

I had planned on stopping by the track tomorrow, but we'll have to see what the weather does.
