Hi Fellow Mini Lovers!  I met Dale while dropping off my son's '90 Integra for a much needed paint-job at Maaco.  He promptly inquired about my mini and recommended joining the club.  So here I am!  I bought an '05 R53 JCW w/ 30K miles last December to replace an odd couple of vehicles - Souped up 1996 Buick Roadmaster (for sale) and 2004 Honda S2000.  It's kind of weird, but the mini really fits the bill.  I'm tickled with it and glad to join a group of mini owners/enjoyers.  My little ride is grey with black bonnet stripes and tinted windows.  I'm trying not to get too deep into the modification zone - but do plan to downsize the pulley, add a cam, tune and injectors... we'll see!  Happy motoring to us all :)

WOW! 107 A new member that actually introduces themselves. How great is that?

He's right, ya know, we will GLADLY help you spend your money. Though, being part of a group will actually SAVE you money, due to the fact we can "suggest" smart mods, versus un-necessary ones. Trust me, there is nothing worse than a mod that doesn't perform as expected.

Welcome and hope to see ya at one of our meets soon. Oh, and the Acura should be ready this week sometime 023

Thanks for the "Welcomes"!  Help me spend money?!  Oh dear... i'm in trouble already.  I had the resonator replaced w/ a straight pipe last week and had the tires rotated while she was in the air... was informed that my brake pads were 'bout done... I said "well that doesn't surprise me at all".  I love to accelerate and brake hard...  So I figure I'll poke around a bit and see what I can do to replace the pads and upgrade the brakes a tad.  Ugh!  Too many great options!  I'm trying to MODERATE my modifications.  Saw $34 front brake pads - saw $2K BBKs - and everything in between.  Read the HRmini post on keeping the factory brakes and upgrading w/ Hawk HPS pads and braided lines.  That sounds pretty reasonable.  The Detroit caliper bushings sound like a good idea too.  Oh - and then there's the stage-II Detroit kit w/ cryogen treatment for about $800.  As you can see - I'm drowning here!!  Someone throw me a line!!! (this is gonna be fun!)

Didn't I just say something about this last week when we had some conversation at the shop???

It's refreshing to say the least.

Welcome Aboard Mate.

BTW, don't let the Miniacs spend all your money.  018
