Since this is a saturday how about we meet at 0700. Know since an being the first cars there. And its only 3 hours there from Suffolk.
Unless I'm mistaken, Cars & Coffee is 9am-11am. If we leave at 7am, we definitely won't arrive until 10-1030, barring weather, general traffic or accidents. It would suck if an unforeseen delay caused us to arrive after the Cars & Coffee event ended. How about wheels up at 630...which is a 30-minute compromise.

Just a quick note .. the C&C at Brier Creek is not sponsored by any dealership like the one at Hampton Roads is .. it's a gathering of the different car clubs in the area - some bring their own breakfast stuff, though there is Caribou Coffee, Brueggers Bagels, and other places nearby .. but there isn't a nice selection of *free* munchies and coffee like the HR C&C has .. But heck, save your appetite, Quizno's lunch after is a dime! PS There are a lot better bathroom options available tho .. some of you know what I mean

Quick note .. Parking for Saturday ..
At Cars & Coffee, Brier Creek, look for the MINIs .. there are not historically too many and unless someone else establishes designated MINI parking ahead of me, I'll likely find proximity to the S2000s (usually near Chili's and Jason's Deli) due to the dual nature of my participation this month ..
At Quiznos .. there is limited parking immediately in front of Quiznos so please park in the long empty stretch, marked ROW 3, between the Walmart and Fashion Avenue stores
Hope to see you at one or both events ..
Susan & Drew PS I *think* most of you have my phone number, but just in case .. 9l9 6O6 65l5

If anyone wants to drive down tonight to not have to get up quite as early tomorrow, I've got one room, one futon [in same room] a couch, and plenty of floor space ..
I see the S2000s have about 12 posted coming to C&C, surely the MINIs can outdo that! (Drew and I have a bet on which club represents best, I wanna win!)
See you soon .. and most of all, BE SAFE!
PS There is plenty of outlet mall shopping not far from here .. brand new mall in Mebane, right off 85 that you could take to get back. Off 85 it would be a few miles of backtrack but would probably be worth it. (I haven't been, it just opened at the holiday season last year)

We had a great time down there today. We actually had more MINI's from HR than they had from Tarheel. Susan wasn't kidding about the Exotic cars there (Ferrari, Lambo's, a Noble and a bunch of Porsche & Vettes). The S2000 did beat us out though almost 3 to 1. The weather was a balmy 67 degs. And we can't thank Quiznos enough for lunch.

Glad everybody had a good time! Those dang S2K's, they must multiply like rabid bunnies in heat or something!

And we can't thank Quiznos enough for lunch. What a day! What fun! And for all the times I've touted the car club "families" to Drew, between the showing from the MINIs (Steve, I thought the club count was even .. but that was counting me and I've got that split allegiance!) and the S2000's - of which Drew was never officially a member - I think he was sufficiently impressed that no matter what his next vehicle - was hands down a Hyundai Genesis til after spending the day with his beloved S2000's - he needs to find the associated car club (I've tried real hard to impress him with the MINIs, including a test drive of the Countryman) Thank you all for making the drive and the long distance support over the past few months. As I mentioned to several, once Colonial Downs reopens for the season we will definitely find an HR MINI event to make a double excuse to head that direction for .. I think Pungo Strawberry Festival is a pretty sure bet .. and maybe some of you will join us for Blue Ridge Parkway and/or The Great Ice Cream Run this summer. Erika and Sara, sorry you didn't make it .. and Lelane I hope you are feeling better .. Thanks again, Susan (and Drew) PS .. there were 55 dimes .. naturally. A multiple of 11 .. Drew's "lucky" number (with his birthday being 11/11/11 this year .. and he'll be 29 (2+9= )

That has come to an end as the last one has rolled off the assembly line

For those of you who may be interested in seeing some of the 200? 300? cars that showed up for Cars & Coffee in Raleigh this AM, this is a pretty good link .. http://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/848642-monthly-raleigh-meet-march-5th/page__view__findpost__p__20334992That is til Steve gets his posted .. poor guy almost missed the caravan to lunch for being so enthralled with the cars (it was a great showing though honestly about what we get on a "good" - weatherwise - Saturday) I'll have some from lunch that I'll post in the next couple of days ..

(Steve, I thought the club count was even .. but that was counting me and I've got that split allegiance!) Your right Susan. But we did drive 3 hours so.... The sad thing is I think there where more Ferrari's than MINI's and maybe S2000's.
