Saturday May 28th.   Parade starts at 10am.
Same place as last year. My hope is to keep it simple again-meet at Sonics.

Any vets  from last year feel free to pipe in and tell me what worked and what didn't last year. I wasn't here.

I will tell you; this years application specifically asked car clubs to keep the car # to 10.  102 I'm sure we'll have that many.
All I can do at this point is just take whoever wants to drive on a first come first serve basis.

More details as the time gets closer. Sorry to be so short-I've been extremely distracted this year  103
PS this is Trish.....VBCHCHK I havent been on here is absolute ages!

Great! 038

Do they have a different theme each year, or is it always just a patriotic theme? Either way, we need to really decorate our MINI's a LOT!

the application doesn't specify a theme but its typically been patriotic because of the holiday. Now  might also be a good time to dig up, beg or borrow extra magnets.  061

We did have a good time last year. I'd love to run the parade again this year, but if we have a new member I'll gladly give up my spot. My only requirement is that they're active on the boards.

I will be visiting my friend in Hellertown, PA again that weekend.  This parade will be missed.  It's one of my favorites.   icon_cool

It's not a car; it's a lifestyle

Trish  correct me if I am wrong.

The group will meet at Sonic (address to be supplied) and be ready to go at 8:15. Come earlier than that to grab breakfast, detail cars, and get to know each other.  You will be led to the round-up point where the cars will sit in line until the parade starts.  You will have plenty of time to decorate, usually red/white/blue theme, or set up some chairs to relax and chat.  Bring yourself a drink cause the parade doesn't start until 10am.  Plan to purchase some decorations at the Dollar Tree as well. Somebody bring tape and scissors!

At the end of the parade route you will be led into a parking lot charging $5.00 to park to stay for the festivities or you can head back to Sonic.  Right next to Sonic is a Chili's where we had lunch last year.

Anyone wanting to meet the group for lunch should plan to be at Chilis by 11:30am.
