Saw 4 MINIs yesterday coming home from work, I made direct eye contact with 3 out of 4 drivers, waved and got NOTHING back!!! WTH is wrong with people that drive MINIs these days? And it's not just yesterday, 80% of the time I do not receive a wave back. I'll give 10% to people maybe not paying attention, so that leaves 70% of MINI driver (and 1 green MkII Original Mini driver) that just don't belong behind the wheel of one! Rant Done! Shawn

Face it, the majority of MINI owners don't get it.

You're beating a dead horse. Look at how many threads on NAM talk about this. You just have to tell yourself they don't get it.

I know they don't get it and it sucks, but even common decency dictates that if you see someone wave you wave back. It's a degredation of the human condition.

As I always say Shawn, many people get their MINIs because they are "cute" or "get good gas mileage" . Just be the better man wave anyway like I do .

Many years ago, when I got my first Volvo, there weren't very many of us on the road. All Volvo owners waved to each other. then as the car became more popular, the waving ceased. Same thing is happening with the Mini. I wave to every Mini, if I get a response, I consider it a bonus.
Keep waving. You'll make the world a better place.

Having just drove down and back from the Dragon with 13 MINI's in tow we waved at alot of MINI's and I'm not sure we got a wave back until we got close to Fontana.

While bringing up the rear we passed a lady driving a cooper somewhere near greensboro smilling from ear to ear and waving as I went by, came in behind the caravan but got off the interstate shortly afterward. Some of the truckers comments over the CB were: Look at all those itty bitty cars / must be Mini Cooper Day / and look at em go.....

If anyone misses getting waves from MINI owners, I'd suggest visiting Fontana Village in early May 2012. Seems everybody I saw waves out there!

Very much so. That's one of the best things about MOTD, and it helps make up for all those other times no one else does.
