As some of you know (because sadly I mostly lurk around here), my 2009 convertible has had many many issues. Most of the issues were with the soft top, and several of the issues created new issues and the story just kept going on and on. Sadly not long ago I had yet one MORE problem with the soft top, that actually created a safety hazard. This prompted me to finally give in and call BMW directly.
The rep I spoke with at BMW was very pleasant, very apologetic and promised me action. After a few days I received a call back from Jim Anderson at Checkered Flag. They had been contacted by BMW and were prepared to make me an offer to help me get out of the '09 and it's problems. After a few days of working details back & forth, I have finally settled the "little" details and ordered my "replacement"! A 2011 Ice Blue cabrio!!!!
Jim Anderson & Brian Fellini have been nothing short of AWESOME thru this whole experience. It's sad it came to this point, but I am very pleased that BMW/Mini and Checkered Flag realized there were serious issues with this car and fairly resolved them.
I will be retiring the phlppr name (and tags).

You A) got rid of a problem car and got B) a nice new MINI! Nothing wrong with that! Congrats!
Though I heard some insider info at the Rock the Rivals event last weekend. CONGRATS AGAIN!

Thumbs up to Checkered Flag ! For making a MINI lover stay a MINI lover. Looking forward to seeing your new ride! I admit I did look at other convertibles... I was unsure how well BMW & Checkered Flag were going to help me, but they really came thru and it's an awesome feeling knowing I can stay in a Mini!! |
