 Kathy I would like to host and meet & great pot luck at our home. Some may know my wife Suzanne is departing for Afghanistan in July. I thought this meet & great would be a really great send off as well as a chance for us to meet new members. We have a well maintained grass lot next to our house which gives club members the chance to show off their mini. As of Saturday, I am talking with Crown BMW about sponsoring the event and I have a decal vendor in the works too. I am still in the early planning stages of this event but all ideas are welcome. Ideas I have so far •  Small car show judged by one manager of the places the club frequents and a representative from crown & checker flag. • I have requested a gift certificate from crown mini; the amount to be determined. • Have a decal vendor in the works  • Of course we’ll have some sort of barley based substances Sue and I really wanted to just have a blow out before she deploys; so far, everyone we have met in the club have been really great.  This is the date I have planned: July 9 2011. We are shooting for really late afternoon because the lot gets the evening shade. This is a weekend so I think it might work out will in addition our home will be open for the use of the facilities. Please let me know what you think or if you have any ideas that might make this a little more interesting.  My Kindest Regards Richard David Fierros

2010 clubman (just a mini) everything is still stock, but members are coaching me into making some changes. Yes it is almost fast enough; no you still can’t drive it

We are new to the group and would love to attend (brg 09 clubman with Welsh Dragon on Roof, and r/w 09 cooper with flag of the Duke of Berwick to be installed!). My husband is drilling at Hampton and would come when he's done -- I can come whenever. Please let us know when and where, and also what to bring. Wonderful idea .. wish I could join you .. but afraid that a VA commute 5 weekends in a row :107:would give my MINI a DMV registration identity crisis ... my prayers will be with Suzanne and perhaps a big MINI (ha ha) Welcome Home celebration will be fitting at the end of her deployment. Bring an appitizer or side dish and bring the family to the Meet and Greet Potluck. Minis are not required :-) We have plenty. Don't be shy because half the people there will be newbies.
