Yep. Doing collections again this year. Bear in mine they're mostly a dog shelter, and most of them are lost hunting dogs. They do have the occasional kitty cat, but by and large, lets focus on dog stuff. And remember, they can always use monetary donations. Organization like them can usually make a dollar go further than we can.

Well sadly enough, it looks like work is gonna get in the way this year.  Denisa has to work Saturday and I have duty weekend.  Pretty messed up since I just checked in thursday!  However, this means that I will be cancelling my reservations at the Montvalle tomorrow, so there will be one room over there opening up if needed.  Hope you all have a blast.  A lot of those roads are a blast!  Maybe next year!

Please don't forget to add some type of donation to your packing list !

FWIW, I'm planning on heading out around 1PM. Real flexible, let's see what everybody's doing. A convoy is always more fun!

Check The Weather Channel before you leave. As of today, they're predicting 60% chance of rain and snow on Saturday. I don't imagine the snow will stick, just wet roads. Sunday will be sunny but temps in the 40's. Better pack your long undies, hat, gloves and coat!!

It's 27 here, this morning with a heavy frost.

It will still be fun, regardless of the weather.

Dang Herb, sorry to hear that.

As for the weather, earlier in the week it was looking sunny and nice. Sure took a turn for the worse it looks. Some of our spirited roads may have to be taken at a less spirited pace, but we'll still have a great time and good company.

Local weather forecast for the Staunton area predicts 50% rain Thursday with cooler (mid 50's) weather Friday, Saturday and Sunday - no mention of precipitation over the weekend. It tends to be about 5 degrees cooler in the mountains west of here. Sometimes the weather piles up on the Eastern side of the mountains, but I don't have a lot of faith in the National Weather forecasts. I remain optimistic for a cool dry weekend.

If it's too cold or wet to gather on the porch at the Inn, is there an alternative plan for Friday evening?

Looking forward to meeting you all,

Bob and Pat

I have been watching the weather and it is looking promising right now but I will trust the forecast once I am there.

If it is too chilly for the porch we can hang out in the bar area. Even after it closes they allow us to bring in beverages and just hang out.

I am so ready for a weekend with my MINIacs  080

Yea, we pretty much have the run of the place. Their weather seems to be pretty much like ours down here, it seems to be changing constantly. Looks a lot drier that it did a couple of days ago. Does look a bit cooler though. We'll have fun either way!

It does kinda suck about the weather on Friday.  I was gonna see about leaving around 12 p.m. myself but take back roads instead of the interstate to make the drive out more enjoyable.  I have not looked up a route yet, though.

We are going to try to meet up with everyone on Saturday around 10:30. Any idea as to where you will be?
