Hi, my name is John, and I'm a T-Shirt Junkie. I know I don't get involved anywhere near as much as I should with events and all. But when T's are brought into the fold, God I just get weak knees thinking about it.

Dale, great ideas, and the timing couldn't be better, as it's been some time now since this club has put together a nice "T" for it's members.

Having said that, here's my input. Don't surround anything in Military stuff. We all know this is a very highly military populated area without advertising the fact. I'm an old ARMY dog and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest to not see that type of art work.

COLOR, COLOR,COLOR, the first batch of "T's" that came from HRMINI had members cars and lots of colors, in fact, it was so well liked, I believe there was some effort to do it again with other cars. Unfortunatley I don't think it was ever done.

The base color should be considered as well, white, grey, black, pink, will whatever is decided upon look good on any color background, or will some of the art be lost to it?

Sadly, the idea department in my head isn't on the clock right now, so that's something that I'll have to come back with later.

Good Luck, and put me down for a short sleeve and a long sleeve. Oh damn, that's something else to consider!!!!!!!!!!! 045

Yeh I wouldn't have any military stuff on there. Even though it represents pretty much what hampton roads stands for these days. But we could have t-shirts made with bits from each branch for like 4th of July and Veterans Day runs, etc in the future.

I would rather see some colonial stuff on there to show the history of Hampton Roads, maybe incorporate that Norfolk mermaid thing you see everywhere aswell. Heck..Sneak a peanut in there somewhere too lol... i know VA is famous for it's peanuts.... escpecially from Suffolk.

With no disrespect to our local military, I'm with those who are of the opinion of no military reference on a car related shirt design. First and foremost I personally would stick to symbolzing the enjoyment of Mini's, coupled with the official but little known, Hampton Roads Flag. Click on the following link for info on the flag:  http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/us-va-hr.html

I'm just wondering how much better off we'd be if no one invented Al Gore!

That is totally awesome, and information I did not know (even tho I've lived here the better part of 30 years!)  Thank you for knowing that and sharing!!!!

My vote goes to the Hampton Roads Flag either overlaid with a "transparent" Mini or with various style Mini's surrounding it.  Another thought would be various Mini's sporting roof flags or door flags.....

Has the site logo ever been on a shirt?

It's really hard to have a regional identity without using something nautical.  How about spelling "hrmini.com" (along with other graphic(s)) using the International Code of Signals flags?  That could represent some previlent history of the area without specifically being military.

That's all I can think of right now.

Whatever design ends up being chosen, sign me up for one!

As much as I like the fact we have our own flag, I'm just not seeing it help locate our area on a shirt. If WE didn't know we had our own flag, is there a chance in the world anyone else would know?

I'm still liking the history slant on the shirts. Monitor & Merrimac and Williamsburg possibly.

At this point maybe just some MINI's with the state behind them with a start denoting the Hampton Roads area.

Opinion from the WESTERN side of the mountains (West "by God" Virginia): I like the idea of the map of VA with a MINI superimposed on it and a star or some other marker/indicator in the Hampton Roads area AND the flags. That would be a real conversation starter as in "What the heck do those flags mean?" 038
