I know I'm still a newbe, but I feel the shirts should focus on Mini history, the club and the geographical area. If you try and put too much stuff on it to try and accomadate everyone's background it would be too busy and hard for folks to follow. Any hoo count me in for two size XL.

We had an impromptu T shirt committee gathering on the way back from the Pub 2 Pub run. Just throwing this out there and see what y'all think. We got some inspiration from a Harley Guys T shirt in a restaurant we stopped at. Try to visualize this:

The state of VA takes up most of the shirt. In the Hampton Roads area there'll be a magnifying glass, like someone is looking at our area and in the area will be our old logo showing the modern & classic MINI/Mini with the area INSIDE the magnifying glass. To the south will be a beach scene with the water being where NC would be and the southern border of VA being the beach line. I think we need some marsh grass and cattails along there with a beach scene. to denote our beaches as well as the tidal wetlands. Of course Hampton Roads club MINI and the www.hrmini.com will be there.

On the front we'll have a MINI dressed in a camo uniform (military) wearing a tri point hat like George Washington wore (history) with a cartoon seagull standing on the hat. (water)

Of course there HAS to be a MINI fairly prominent in there as well. Id also like to see "Serving southeast Virginia" on there somewhere.

Thoughts.....

If you have facebook, search this page: I collect Harley Davidson T-shirts (that isn't a link, by the way!) and you'll see what the Harley guys do. They really set the bar for T shirt designs!

Have the shirts been made already or is this an idea that has died down recently?  I'd like to get in on t-shirt if it's not too late.

No and Yes. They haven't been ordered and yep, they idea had taken a back burner status. We should bring it back up though. I'd like to get a standard CLUB shirt. We do lots of event/run shirts, but nothing just to say we are HR MINI. I'll get with our shirt guru and work something up.

Sound good!  I had an idea for the shirt... How about using the logo that it's used on thus forum but with the background  still driving out of Hampton roads but it shows the whole state instead of the just the area

Don't know if it would convey the "Hampton Roads " nature of or organization ...

Having the states outline was part of the plan. When we go out of town, like to the Dragon, nobody has a clue as to where Hampton Roads is. We had thought about having exactly what Gary suggested. Have the state outline and the logo right over the Hampton Roads area. Because face it, that logo, as cool as it is, does nothing to let anyone unfamiliar with the area identify where we are. It's still a work in progress, but we're getting there.

OK,  makes sense.  Still a great idea. I'll go for 1 or 2.  Will you have long sleeves available? That would be great for us track junkies.

Yep, but the cost goes up pretty fast when ya start adding extras. We've found over the years we sell far more shirts at a cheaper price than ones that are dolled up.
