Hey Gang, DC Metro MINI's have been talking about doing a run to Luray Caverns. The last weekend of July 30/31 and August 6/7 are open weekends for both clubs.
If we have enough interest,I'll get up with DC and see if they wanna do a joint run up there.
Anyone interested???

I'm interested !!! Love that area ! Am currently working 7 days a week, but my current project should be finished by that date. (Had better be).... Looking like I will be missing the Pub to Pub run,  but would love to do this, and the timing looks pretty good for me !!!  |

Luray Caverns are neat! I went up there last year with a couple friends in my Mini. Depends on the day and if I have duty that weekend. But I would definately do this run. Just for the day though and drive back down. Not gonna stay in any motels. It only takes a couple to few hours to get up there.

Yea, they've been talking about this since like February or March. I though we'd go ahead and plan it and see if they'd follow. Thinking latter in the year. Remember, it's 58 degrees in the caverns winter and summer. So it's pretty warm down there in the colder months.
I'd still like to see this happen!

Just got back from a Caverns visit on 18JUL2011. Didn't drive the MINI, but carved the curves up and down the mountain in my wife's Accord  . Nice trip and hope whoever goes has a great time . |

Just now saw this thread .. so *kinda* glad it didn't happen since with the proposed weekends, I'da missed it ..
Would definitely be interested .. and like to see drive events with kid-friendly/educational destinations, I've got a nephew or two I'd love to bring along ..
subscribed for when this happens .. (caverns summer heat break sounds good!)
