We motored out to First Landing to take some pictures by the Cape Henry Lighthouses this weekend.  Figured it would make a nice backdrop for our Virginia Pilot submission.

Anyway, we were at the security checkpoint.  The guard asked me (using correct terminoligy) to open the boot and the bonnet.  When I opened the bonnet, the guards remarked that I was the first MINI owner who was able to get the bonnet open.

Based on their comment, I'm assuming that none of you have ever been to the lighthouse installation.

the pictures came out good enough, I guess.

we went out there a while back when my wife got her Hawaiian MINI.  the guards talked about loving the hyper blue color.  we opened boot and bonnet with no problems.  must be some folks out there that can't find the release on the bonnet.  nice pic of you and the kids.  it did turn out nice.  - larry

I went out there a couple of years ago and wasn't asked to open mine. :D
